Sonnenhalde C31 is located in one of the most recognisable buildings on the Riederalp, famously positioned directly on the ski slope where almost every visitor has skied past at least once. From the residence you step straight onto the piste and ski either towards the trainer lift Alpenrose or the Moosfluh glacier cable car – two of the main lifts on the Riederalp. In summer, the building lies just below the scenic Herrenweg hiking trail, which leads towards the glacier and through the protected Aletsch Forest.
The apartment is situated on the top floor of the building, reached via a staircase that leads to the upper level shared with only one other apartment. C31 is positioned on the eastern side of the building but oriented towards the south, allowing abundant natural light. Upon entering, a hallway connects the three bedrooms and the bathroom. Two bedrooms are equipped with bunk beds, making them perfect for children, while the third bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom includes a bathtub with shower combination.
Walking into the living area, the first thing you notice is the breathtaking view. From every corner of the living space, the panorama is uninterrupted and endlessly captivating. The living room features a comfortable sitting lounge and an open kitchen with dining table, creating a warm and social atmosphere. A staircase leads from the living room to the upper level, where a desk area offers a quiet place to work or read. From the living room, you also have access to the south-facing balcony with a stunning view stretching from Schweibefluh all the way to the Matterhorn and Villa Cassel. It is the perfect place to relax while watching skiers glide past below.
The building includes a shared ski storage room, a separate ski-boot room, and a laundry room, ensuring comfort and practicality for both winter and summer stays. Sonnenhalde C31 combines an iconic slope-side location with a cozy alpine atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for families and mountain lovers alike.
