Aletsch JoPe is highly accessible , an easy 3-4 minute walk to Fiesch’s train station / main lift hub, and less than 10 minutes on foot to all the local shops. Fiesch, Bettmeralp and Riederalp form the Aletsch Arena, home to the greatest glacier in the Alps (a UNESCO World Heritage site) each well-connected by lifts and c.100km of ski runs. There are numerous mountain walks. Fiesch also offers Co-Op and Migros supermarkets, a bakery, butcher, ski hire and bicycle hire, several banks and hotels with restaurants, etc.
The 90 square meter apartment has a dual-aspect living room with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. There is a connected kitchen and the balcony wraps around two sides. This is a cosy place to relax and enjoy the serenity of the Upper Valais Alps.
There are two sizeable double bedrooms and a third bedroom/study. A separate bathroom and additional shower room complete the amenities of this convenient apartment. There are two outdoor parking spaces, a rare and indispensable facility in Switzerland for anyone arriving by car, though arriving by train is equally easy as the station is so close.
The living room has a comfortable sofa and easy chairs, a desk and a Smart TV; the latter enjoys a SwissCom fibre connection and SwissCom Blue Home subscription, plus good wifi throughout the apartment (measured download 810 Mbps, upload 740 Mbps). Sit back and enjoy stunning mountain views from all windows in this dual-aspect room, or step out onto the wrap-around balcony. Here you can enjoy the tranquility of the Upper Valais Alps over a glass of quality local wine and let your mind wander. It is far removed from the bustle of everyday life.
The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, combined oven/microwave oven, fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso machine (original pods) and milk frother, filter coffee machine and plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery and a table for up to six people.
The 3 bedrooms are configured (1) with 2 x 90cm single beds (easily pushed together), a wardrobe and chest of drawers; (2) a double bed (180cm), a wardrobe and chest of drawers; and (3) a single bed (70cm) with pull-out bed to create a small double (140cm), if desired, a desk, chest of drawers and hanging rack. All bedrooms have bed-side tables with lamps and external shutters capable of creating black-out conditions for a very good night’s sleep. Two bedrooms have hair dryers.
There is a separate bathroom (with wash hand basin, bath with shower over and WC) and a further separate shower room (with a wash hand basin, WC and shower). Both enjoy excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water.
The two outdoor parking spaces are adjacent to the entrance to the apartment, and are an indispensable facility in Switzerland for those arriving by car.
While there are ski hire and storage facilities up the mountain, the apartment shares a ski store in the basement with our neighbours. The laundry room is private to the neighbouring apartments and we regret is not accessible to guests.
